Check whether your device supports eSIM

Auto-detect

On Android with Chrome we can read your model and match it against our list. iPhones don't expose the model to websites, so use the manual check below. Auto-detection is a hint only; the manual check is authoritative.

Manual check (most reliable)

Open the phone dialer and enter *#06#. If the pop-up shows an "EID" line, your phone has an eSIM chip.

iPhone / iPad

1Open the Phone app and dial *#06#.
2If an "EID" line (32 digits) appears, eSIM is supported.
3Or open Settings → Cellular / Mobile Data: an "Add eSIM" button means it is supported.

Android

1Dial *#06#; an "EID" line means eSIM is supported.
2Or open Settings → Network & internet / SIM manager and look for "Add eSIM" / "Download a SIM".
3Samsung: Settings → Connections → SIM manager → Add eSIM. Pixel: Settings → Network & internet → SIMs → Add eSIM.

Note: iPhones sold in mainland China (iPhone 16 and earlier) and most mainland-China Android phones have no eSIM. Carrier-locked phones cannot use third-party eSIMs even if an EID is shown. Make sure your phone is unlocked.

Common eSIM-compatible devices

iPhone XS and later. Mainland-China iPhones have no eSIM; some Hong Kong/Macau dual-physical-SIM models (XS Max/11/12/13 series) also lack it.
